1955 Topps Gordon Jones
In honor of Game 7 of the World Series, here is one of the last old Cardinals cards I have that I haven’t shown yet. Beautiful card, but I have no attachment to it. Wanna trade?

1955 Bowman Al Corwin available for trade
I love the 1955 Bowman set, I hate this card. The “TV set” is such an iconic release for vintage cards. It’s kind of funny that the aspect ratio of the TV is much like modern widescreen TV’s but in the 50’s design. I’ve had it since I was a kid and I don’t remember how I got it. I do know that it is a Giant, and the back of the card mentions their pennant win the previous year over the Dodgers. So, someone out there, give me another 1955 Bowman card for this card. I don’t care if it’s worse shape, It doesn’t even have to be a Dodger, as long as it’s not a Giant.

1953 Topps Art Schult avalable for trade
This was my first 1953 Topps card. The first time I had seen one in person, and I like it. However it’s a Yankee, and now I have a few other ‘53 Topps cards that I LOVE. So I’m willing to let this one go.

1963 Topps Rookie Stars available for trade
Gaylord Perry’s “Rookie Card” even though he had a rookie card in 1962 Topps. This is another one of the cards I unlocked in the Topps Million. It’s cool but, it’s available for trade.

1956 Topps “Dusty” Rhodes available for trade
A Giant?! Gross. Actually, don’t get me wrong, I will add a Willy Mays card to my collection one day. This guy though? Pfft.
I got it in a cheap lot , with a Dodger I really wanted, some more ‘53 Bowman cards (people really want to dump those), a ‘65 Rookie, and the card I’m going to post next.
It might be a ‘56 and they are very nice cards, but I have no plans of putting together a set, and I don’t collect Giants, so this one is available for trade.

Remember my post last week about my extra cards from the Jim Gilliam / Frank Howard lot? Well here they are, and they are all available for trade!
1969 Topps “Bird Hill Aces” available for trade
“Aces” might be a bit of a stretch. A great card for an Orioles fan, doesn’t do much for me though.
1961 Topps Red Shoendienst. available for trade
There’s no room for cartoons with all those stats on the back. I’m not really a fan of players not wearing hats on their cards.
1953 Bowman Gil Coan available for trade
This card is well loved. It has rounded corners, scuffs, and creases. I love vintage cards but there is just no creativity to the fronts of 1953 Bowman. I’m sure it was impressive to reproduce a color photo back in 1953 but these cards can’t even come close to competing with the hand painted beauty that was ‘53 Topps. The back of the card is wonderful though. I think I’d be pretty upset of my baseball card pointed out my previous year’s slump.
1964 Topps Angels Rookie Stars available for trade
I love the ‘64 Rookies design and Bob Lee’s menacing face on this card. But it’s the Angels, and two unspectacular players. The card is in great condition though, maybe someone needs it for their set?

A peek at my card collection. Mostly Dodgers cards and mostly pre-1980, but I try to keep it mixed up.
